GuitarBomb.com looking for help with any site issues

I've just started a new guitar blog and I am looking for small start up pedal builders to interview for my site.

If you or any of your friends have a legit guitar orientated business and want some coverage one your pedals/guitars/amps, then please get in touch.
I write all the guitar articles for Gearnews.com, but this is my personal side project for smaller less known brands and startups.

You may have guessed that I'm a total guitar and pedal addict and so figured you guys may, like myself want to help push some of the smaller pedal brands and builders.

You can contact me via the contact form on GuitarBomb.com. https://guitarbomb.com

Some of you already send me stuff for Gearnews and if you also want some coverage on my new site, just let me know. I'm aiming to feature a lot less of the big F and G brand on my GuitarBomb.com. As I would rather feature up and coming, smaller homegrown guitar gear.

Admins, if this post breaks any forum rules, just let me know.

Yeah, I have a MacBook Pro and I spend at least half my day deleting bloody fullstops, as it generates one every time you use the spacebar and so I end up not reading what I've just 'badly' typed.  =)

Had a few businesses get in touch with me and I am arranging articles with all of the ones that have something to talk about.

Again, if anyone on here, or if you know someone outside of the forum that needs or would like some free exposure, then hit me up .

Ideally, you'll have a product or service you can talk about (naturally), with some good images or video I can share with readers. I'm happy to do for example an 'interview' piece, which can be done over the phone, or Zoom or just via sending you some questions.

If you have a new product/service you think people would want to read about then get in touch as well.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out already.

Got five interviews lined up this weekend and next week, so thank you to all that have got involved. My aim is to talk a lot more on GuitarBomb.com with independent makers/luthiers and businesses.

As the big corporations already get plenty of coverage (plus, I already do those on Gearnews.com), so if you have something you believe would make an interesting article, and would like to talk about what you do, then get in touch.

Also would be really nice to cover some of your music/bands/record releases as well, so hit me up for some free coverage if you are planning anything along those lines as well.

I know that you are a long term Mac user, but it sounds like this might be the infamous double clicking the space bar feature.
Go to System Preferences > Keyboard & select the Text tab.
Uncheck the box labelled 'Add period with double-space' and that should do it.
Sorry if this is something you already tried,  just trying to help  :)

I wish it were that. Oh how I wish it was so simple... lol.

Pretty, sure it all boils down to the keys stick all over the place, and then factor in that I type like a ham fisted pirate who has a hook for a hand and only one thumb on the other stump.

You're a total legend for helping though, cheers.

I see  :) If the keys are sticking, might slowing down the keyboard 'delay until repeat' duration possibly help?
That's it, I'm done with ideas  ;)
Enjoyed the M1 review & Jeff Buckley's rig too, looking forward to seeing what else turns up.

Just a heads up to show you all the kind of article that I am writing, this is the first of the Meet the Maker series and I have already got more lined up ready to go.

https://guitarbomb.com/2021/04/30/meet-the-maker-seth-baccus-guitars/

If any of you, or your friends would like a feature then please feel free to contact via the site. There is no charge, I don't run advertising and it is all just a labour of love.

Just some good honest guitar information/news, 'How To' articles and interviews!

How about adding Impure Guitars to the list? naughty

Currently. I have a long list of builders that have contacted me directly and so ploughing my way gradually through that list.

I'm crazy busy at the moment but managed to squeeze in an interview with my friend Tim Stark at Manson Guitar Works. He builds a lot of great guitars and does all my gear setups, as he is a leg' and so I had to collar him.

Been updating stuff in the background over the last few weeks on the blog so would be great if anyone could find any glaring issues, images not loading, or problems on the site.

The site traffic has grown massively in the last year and I want to make the site faster, smoother, and easier to navigate.

I'm an Apple Silicon user these days and so I haven't got Android, Linux, Windows, etc to test with (as can no longer run emulations like the old Intel machines).

Either search for 'Guitar Bomb' (as that helps me rank on search engines and is always appreciated) or head here Guitar Bomb

You can report here or contact me via the site itself if you find any issues.

Cheers All

Jef

Forgot to say I use Chrome, Safari, and Brave browsers on my Mac. All 'seem' to be working okay with the M1 Pro and Ventura OS
@stonevibe - formatting's a bit squiffy on the comment box heading (Chrome on Linux):

Also...ads don't seem to display (even with AdBlock off and cookies consented).

Cheers, I'll look into that.

I can see adverts on my end, and no issues on Chrome via Mac with comments for me either.

As I don't have access to Linux it can be a PITA for me to check.

Appreciate your help fella, I'll see what I can do.
Ah, wait - they are showing sometimes, it's just that the ad inventory isn't always being fulfilled. Is your AdSense account still fairly new?

Yeah, just been testing it for the last few days. So it could be a little 'shonky' as Google does its thing.  =)
