MSG in Sheffield last night- why can’t the sound be better?

I realised that I’ve been watching Msg for 40 years in various different incarnations.
The clue is in the name, the MICHAEL SCHENKER group, not the I CAN ONLY HEAR THE BASS DRUM & VOCAL group.
to be fair he’s still got some “chops” , just a shame I couldn’t hear much of them for the first 55 minutes of the show.
And this is the bit I don’t understand because technology has advanced somewhat in the last 40 years.
And to add a qualifier, I could hear the support act “night demon” guitar and lead breaks as clears as day.

The solos in Manchester were occasionally a bit low in parts, but generally the sound was good. Well worth £7.50 :)
