Les Paul builders?
Hi, Ive been on the look out for a Les Paul 56’ and after catching a you tube video by Dave Simpson in which he showcased a Custom Built Replica of a 56’ it put me on course to thinking, maybe see if someone out there builds them? So that’s my question. Can anyone build me a 56’ replica and what’s the damage?
Cheers Folks

You need to contact Anthony Ryder of Ryders Guitars, seriously impressive Les Pauls

Goddammit Ian, you beat me to it by 1min!
+1000 on Ryder
Ant Ryder @flyfisher12 made Chris @RiftAmps a very nice Custom a few years ago.
Bill @Corvus made me a mean Les Paul special with a posh top.
The boys @FelineGuitars are the master of everything Les Paul shaped!
Patrick James Eggle do their take on the LP which they call the Macon as well.
Any of the above could do you something I would think!
I know the builder of the guitar that Dave uses, it’s actually for sale.
Zero One guitars will also build a seriously good LP
Thanks Very much chaps. Quite a few recommendations for the same one or two names. I’ll check them out, excellent!

Darren, Daniels Guitars makes them too.
Here's a comparison video of an original 54 vs his version

Damian Probett would possibly make you one too.
I would think that these days, anyone building a top class reproduction will be asking somewhere between 4 and 6k, maybe considerably more depending on spec.

Or, you could buy an LP kit for £500 to £600 and get it finished by a sprayer, lots of them on the fretboard and you could turn it into something like the link below.

The basic kit, the link below shows the finish guitars.

To the OP, if you happen to be at the Birmingham show, there'll be a Ryder LP equipped with Sunbear staple-P90's Id be more than happy to let you try. They dont come up often, and it can be difficult putting your trust in a low-volume builder with no website or a shop in which to sample.
It's a blue-burst and my second Ryder :)

Whilst slightly off topic, have you seen my blue Ryder? I know Ant finished it a while ago, and I havent had chance to visit him yet. A slightly unconvential, aesthetically, build. But right up my street!sweepy said:Both absolutely top notch Les. Personally I’d go for an Ivison built guitar if I was in the market again for a Les Paul style guitar.
Yes he did and he's going to be a very happy man, he's also having old wire mojo pickups put in it.GoldenEraGuitars said:I believe Clive bought a @Danielsguitars Goldtop.Kalimna said:To the OP, if you happen to be at the Birmingham show, there'll be a Ryder LP equipped with Sunbear staple-P90's Id be more than happy to let you try.
