Or if anyone fancies a bit of fun with an involved bassline, easy rhythm and fun solos, we could always do Crossroads?
Always happy to do Alive
The fact I just got an Epi 335 is unrelated to the Crossroads suggestion...
Last time we did Born To Be Wild, so I'll prep with a couple of run-throughs of that.
Also last time, nobody else prep'd Money, but we did Jam Another Brick In The Wall, as I recall only a couple of us did Carry On Wayward Son.
Do we have a vocalist or are we winging it!
just wasted time between solos tbf
That's next year's endeavour!Neilybob said:Do we have a vocalist or are we winging it!
Not this time though.
Pending the set list I might put my hand up for some vocals
What do we reckon, shall we push this back a month?
Happy to go with the current date but feels a bit tight for anyone to learn anything if they need to.

Is there a venue booked?
Venue and set list needed before we can continue I would suggest...
Cheeky Girls - I am a Cheeky Girl (Touch my Bum) with @lovestrat74 on vocals pls.
Not sure about venue.
I'm cool with that. Shall we say mid afternoon, Clapham Common? I'll see if we can get Lembit Opik on the tambourine.soma1975 said:

Chaps sorry I haven't sorted out a venue yet. Work has been hectic to say the least.
Happy to spin up and book a venue (today) for next weekend or push it back a month.
What's the feeling?

I'm happy to move it. Both my guitars need some fettling.
How does Saturday 9th November suit?
Good for me
I think it would be wise to reschedule this. November is out for me, but you guys go ahead. Hoping to have a clear run of things from the new year
Am ok for Sat 9th and am happy to come along and drum. But would want a venue and setlist sorting soon- been to too many jams that end up playing half songs badly as no one knows the same songs or haven’t come prepared.
I'm 50/50 for the 9th, but there'll be no shortage of 6-string singers so I'm sure you'll be covered.
Darn - I was contemplating buying an SG bass to play the Cream ones on on the weekend.
If folks aren't ready, I'm happy to kick the can down the road.
Jeeze still do it mate! They look amazing.prowla said:Darn - I was contemplating buying an SG bass to play the Cream ones on on the weekend. If folks aren't ready, I'm happy to kick the can down the road.
Happy to do some Cream numbers come the time... Mostly today I have been playing SWLABR

Sorry fellas but my work load has doubled and I’m now only off on Saturdays so I’m unable to make it.
Please crack on without.
I bought the SG bass - it's rather nice!soma1975 said:Jeeze still do it mate! They look amazing.prowla said:Darn - I was contemplating buying an SG bass to play the Cream ones on on the weekend. If folks aren't ready, I'm happy to kick the can down the road.

I have moved to Portsmouth recently. Where is the jam, is it close, and am I ok to come? Thanks

From Portsmouth is an hour or so up the M3.
I sometimes take a wander down that way in the summer and drop in to the guitar shops at Southsea and Cosham.
I may have heard but not listened to the ones I haven't highlighted, so I'll leave them til last.
