So, why does a minor pentatonic work over a major blues?

Yeah, although if there's a popular genre which uses quarter-tones, then it's the Blues.
Hi. I like to start this a bit smaller to visualise what's going on. If we start with triads: root note, 3rd & 5th we get a major chord. if we add a note three semitones below and call it the root note we now have a minor seventh.
With this in mind, when playing in minor keys, move up three frets from the root not and play major scale and add the root and it will be minor seventh.
