Markbass combo head 2

Got an combo head 2 which takes around  4 seconds to output sound from switch on.

its been like that eversince i bought it secondhand a couple of years ago

is this normal

Yes. 

It's the speaker protection circuit, to stop thumps coming through on start up.

All Mark Bass heads do it.
