I had a Ruokangas T type that now lives with another Forum member ......I would love it back
Possibly the best playing guitar I ever had and superb quality

They are the pinnacle of quality. I will miss it if it goes. Things change though and it's just surplus to requirement and my Fender is kinder on my ageing hands.Dominic said:I had a Ruokangas T type that now lives with another Forum member ......I would love it back

This presents 2 questions - @Kebabkid - what is this Greco?
and OP - any trades? Spanky new *monster* LSL Badbone T type, 1970 3 pickup Gibbo Black Beauty, Badcat Hotcat Combo, Danish Pete Goldtop, 57 Murphy Lab not doing much… appropriate adjustments pending.

Edit - not a bedroom dealer - just an enthusiast with too much gear and no wife to berate me
A fine example of a Black Greco Les Paul Custom and Jon @Bellycaster I can vouch for James and a he's a good guy and has nice stuff @guitarmanessex89guitarmanessex89 said:This presents 2 questions - @Kebabkid - what is this Greco?

What make are the pickups and the locking trem
What wood is the body
It's Alder Body, Haussel Custom set Pick ups and Gotoh GE1996T trem. The spec sheet is the 3rd pic down, like I say in th O.P, the only things to have changed are the pick guard, body colour and neck profile.AJS said:What wood is the body
I can't make a comparison to any Fender model pick ups really, although I can say that it sounds just like a Strat should. The Humbucker in the bridge gives it a lot more balls in that position, but can be split.
Love my Ruokangas - unbelievably well made and the think slab fretboards are awesome. GLWTS

Bump. Personal Delivery option may be available depending on your location.
Cost: £2100, collection preferred, from Sheffield.
As I have work transport I could possibly deliver this personally within a 30 mile radius of Sheffield
Will consider trades providing I come out with at least £1K money my way. I already have an SSS Strat, A Les Paul, A Tele and Tele Deluxe, so none of those. Other Gibson Models may pique my interest, Yamaha SG, Hamer, Ibanez.
What you Got?
Built in 2012, it had a neck profile re-shape in 2016 and a body re-finish in 2022, both undertaken by the very reputable Shane Haigh (String Surgeon) of Wakefield. It also had a fret dress and set up in 2022 while the work was done. The fret wear since then is very light.
The re-finish job is documented here: NSGD! Re-Finish! - Guitar Discussions on theFretBoard
I still have the receipt for the neck re-finish as well.
Never thought I'd sell this and I will miss it if it goes, but I have too many Guitars, I have a nice Fender Strat which covers my Strat sounds and my ageing hands are now struggling with the fretboard radius of 16". I could do with some funds as well, so no trades.
All features will be visible in the pics I post. Only changes from original spec are Colour: Sunset to Platinum Grey Metallic, Pickguard: White to Tort, Neck Profile: 59 Shape to Modern C. Everything else the same.
The Guitar plays beautifully and sounds awesome, it has all the traditional Strat Sounds. I can't pick out much difference between my Fender Strat and this Guitar beside the Bridge Humbucker, obviously. Hardly a flaw on it, looks like a Brand Spanker.
This Guitar will give you any possible pick up configuration due to the push pull option of turning on Bridge Pick Up while in Neck or Neck and Middle Position (see pics). The Humbucker can also be split to single coil.
The Rosewood board is a proper thick piece (5mm) of Rosewood.
