Was an actor to me before I knew him as a musician, proper legend and good innings.

I was first aware of him as a kid from the Convoy film, "10-4 rubber duck."

Member of the Highyway Men and undoubtedly the only country music star to be an Oxford Rhodes Scholar. Probably best known for penning Me and Bobby McGee and Help Me Make it through the Night.

My favourite is Sunday Morning Coming down. Fabulous song.

Yes, RIP indeed. For me, Kris Kristofferson was one of the key figures in what was a great era for music and film (roughly 1965-1980). He was never much of a singer but there are few, if any, that have penned so many genuinely first-rate songs (so many great lines in his songs) and he was also a decent actor (Pat Garret and Heaven's Gate the two standout performances for me). That he was also a Rhodes Scholar and US Army Ranger just adds to the mystique that made him such a noteworthy personality.

Willie is now the only one of that "outlaw" era left standing.

Ruggedly good looking, multi talented & lucky... I hated him  B)
He really was a one off, being equally at home as a genuine singer songwriter or as a Hollywood star.
Apart from his 'big' popular roles, I enjoyed his character 'Whistler' in the "Blade" films.
A fair age, RIP.

For sure. Son of an Air Force General, and also a qualified military helicopter pilot himself.

Hell of an impressive guy in so many ways.

Anyone who can pen the line "Freedom's just another word for 'nothing left to lose'" is deserving of your admiration.

I loved him whether he was on stage or on screen.  He always semed effortlessly cool to me and had talent dripping out of his firmament.

RIP KK.
