Leather strap wanted
My old Stagg strap is falling apart - and I need a replacement soon. Stagg is not one of the marquee names in musical equipment but the strap has served me well for many years and it has reached its replacement date. The bass it is used with is valued around €2K so I am looking for a leather strap, not too wide and preferably with padding for the shoulder area. I gather that there are UK strap makers/builders so who would you recommend for this vital piece of kit. I am not interested in 'seatbelt' type straps (I have a number of these), leather is what I am after. Thanks.

British brand. I use their 4" softies on everything.

XL Straps are UK made. Loads of lengths and styles. I've got 4 of them now I think...
I never realised there were regular size and XL size straps. How does one know what size to choose?
The last strap I bought was from Pinegrove: https://www.pinegroveleather.com/pages/guitar-straps
Really happy with it at 4" wide and padded. They're made to customer requirements so not cheap, but they are quality.

Try a strap you have on your bass. See how much longer or shorter you would like it to be and just measure it. Then find one that has that measurement somewhere in the middle of the adjustable range...Creed_Clicks said:I never realised there were regular size and XL size straps.
