I honestly think that given all the terrible things in the world that happen, read what the NRA guy and his frat buddies did to that cat, or the disabled kid left to die by Israeli troops, carpet bombing, child starvation... that festival in China where they torture animals to death before eating them because they think it improves the flavour...

If like most Britons you can see all that and go on with life all la-de-da... but you are offended by someone typing a naughty word... then your priorities are off, IMHO of course.

For some reason, whenever I swear on here, I always use a f*cking asterisk.
The Seymour Duncan User Group forum had a simplistic robot that would seek and replace naughty words with strings of asterisks. It nuked all examples of these words, regardless of context. e.g. The well-known Miles Davis album, ******* Brew.

Of course, this system was easily circumvented by the use of an exclamation mark instead of the lower case I, the ampersand instead of A or made-up phonetic spellings such as be-atch.

Elsewhere on the same site, forumites were free to discuss their firearms collections and which political figures they wouldn't mind shooting dead.

On a work Teams call recently, the auto transcription changed the perfectly polite technical term "nonce" (in the cryptographic sense) to "n***e". Twice !

I suspect the policy on swearing is as lenient on the policy as pointless attention-seeking troll posts from vexatious posters.
Fucking fuckface flangemangler.
