Show us your bass pedal board

I'm mainly a guitarist but when I play bass, all I need is a Mooer Yellow Comp and a Dr J Sparrow. I could add a Boss GEB-7 but between my bass preamp, the actual amp and the Sparrow, my EQ needs are pretty much covered.
Do bassists actually need a lot of pedals? Never really understood bassists who have massive pedalboards.
So no pedalboard to show really! :)

I've been playing about with a few. Big Bass Muff, Phaser, Wah. The delay and chrorus from my guitar didn't really work.
Need is a subjective term round these partsLionAquaLooper said:I'm mainly a guitarist but when I play bass, all I need is a Mooer Yellow Comp and a Dr J Sparrow. I could add a Boss GEB-7 but between my bass preamp, the actual amp and the Sparrow, my EQ needs are pretty much covered.

This does double duty - bass and guitar, though it's mainly bass centred, the only concession to 6 string is the Boss SD-2. The Phasor shares its spot with an old, battery only MXR 100.

I’ve changed one pedal since this was taken …
main feed is tuner -> omnicomp -> L4 preamp -> colourbox v2
thrn the octave, iron man (ss/bs mini), shallow water, c4 or chorus added to taste.
H9 max is at start and end of chain - of everything a bit unusual to have on a bass board and I think it’s a lot more guitar focused in both approach and tone … so not sure how long I’ll keep it, but fun at the moment!

HX Stomp and Tonex is my latest board. I run into the HX that routes one path into a Tonex Sansamp capture then out to my amp (TC RH750), and another path through amp, IR and EQ to FOH.
I know the hx stomp would solve a lot of this for me but I know as soon as I pull the trigger on one, line 6 will release an updateBod said:HX Stomp and Tonex is my latest board. Isn’t the tonex bigger than a sansamp would be or is it the newer mini one?Bod said:HX Stomp and Tonex is my latest board. I run into the HX that routes one path into a Tonex Sansamp capture then out to my amp (TC RH750), and another path through amp, IR and EQ to FOH.
I have both, but prefer the larger one as it has full preset recall if any parameters are tweaked. It's also easier to adjust stuff in the heat of the moment. Granted, it's a bit of an odd setup, but I'm happy so far, although it changes from week to week :)LukeFRC said:Isn’t the tonex bigger than a sansamp would be or is it the newer mini one?Bod said:HX Stomp and Tonex is my latest board. And yes, it probably is bigger, but I don't have a sansamp :) I could also probably use something on the HX and eliminate the need for the Tonex altogether but I fell in love with a capture I found that sounds great through my amp. I wanted a cab emulated sound for FOH too because I hate bass DI sounds.
Zeroamp on the helix I think? Can’t say how close it is - I sold my stomp a while back!Bod said:I have both, but prefer the larger one as it has full preset recall if any parameters are tweaked. All about the vintage tones.
2 compressors doing different things.

I love the board. I do appreciate it the neat boards
I’ll put the cables underneath when I’ve finally settled on the pedals…
This is me of late. The flanger sometimes switches to an OC5 depending on what I’m doing

The only other one I know is the Nova Twins bassist. And she uses all her pedals.
Doug Wimbish’s 2014 board.
It’s got more complicated since then.

I'd love to get some inspo on what to be looking for in a bass pedalboard
