Kal Ho Naa Ho (Tomorrow May Never Come)
With Warren Mendonsa on slide guitar… I'm thinking Warren's playing allowed this song to 'breathe'
Please do have a listen - I'm hoping the English lyrics will broaden the appeal of this song.

Outstanding , wonderful it should defo be a top 20 hit
Glad you liked it @hollywoodrox
It's my cover of a lovely Hindi song, composed by friends of mine in the Bollywood industry. I merely wrote English lyrics to it (and sang and played it of course).
Apart from the slide guitar (starts at 2:10), which was played by my friend Warren - that was a tip of the hat to David Gilmour (we felt it made the song "breathe")

Beautiful playing/singing (as always) Jay.
You are becoming increasingly prolific Jay - another lovely performance :-)
Thanks guys for your very kind comments. The chaps who wrote this song (Shankar Ehsaan & Loy) are phenomenal musicians, the majority of whose work is in the Bombay film industry.
Shankar Mahadevan sings lead vocals with John McLaughlin in Remember Shakti
Perhaps more relevant to us guitarists, Ehsaan Noorani is a phenomenal blues guitarist - and a guitar geek. He has a signature Fender / Squier Stratocaster (YouTube link below).
Loy is an incredible pianist - the musical high point of my life remains singing Nat King Cole with Loy on piano :)
I have always loved the melody / chord progression of this song. If the English lyrics open up the appeal to a wider non-Hindi speaking audience - such as yourselves of course - then this would be a worthwhile tribute indeed…
And so your kind words are very much appreciated.
