Edited to be less of an asshat.
I like listening to Jon Nathan Cordy talk about stuff - he's a nice guy and I like his lassez-faire style. It's like talking to a mate about whether to keep the PRS or not...I suppose a bit like chatting on this forum. I have to admit I do fast forward the playing bits because I find it all a bit too widdly. That's not a criticism of his amazing playing - just not what I want to listen to.
I like JNC. I find his stuff much more honest and relatable as he actually does play live in a functions band. So when I'm looking for opinions on, say, how an amp or modeller sounds in a band situation, or it's practicality when playing live, etc, I tend to trust his judgment. A lot more so than the "I'm not sponsored but I have been sent this bit of kit and will say nice stuff so they send me more stuff in the future, but I'll never use or talk about this product again" crowd.

I find JNC to be a much more authentic than the 2 blokes in a "shed"  walls lined with loads of pedals, collection of expensive amps, especially when they are retailers or retailer adjacent.

If you look at the content on this forum, lots of guitarists are flip flopping between pedals vs multi fx, amps vs modellers etc. and I feel that John articules this ebb and flow quite well. He is open about the sources of gear that he reviews/demos and is obviosly a very accomplished guitar player.

He obviously has a sense of humour and I wonder if the "click bait" titles are just him having fun .

I generally like Cordy. It's ultimately just a bloke talking about his own feelings on stuff to a camera, with a bit of playing. And he's one of the best players within that vein (by miles...).

Huge +1 to Danny's love for Bukovac as well. Most youtube guitarists are much better youtubers than they are guitar players - so many are such wooden, technically-fine-but-utterly-unmusical players I don't want to hear them play and don't care about their opinions.

I tend to steer clear of people who claim to be an "influencer".
Also any for-sale ads with words like "stunning" in their title.
