While my guitar gently weeps solo - string lube and nut sauce

So i've REALLY been pushing myself after 20 odd years to learn the solos that made me want to pick up the guitar in the first place after being a meandering bedroom guitarist for years.
I started learning it, easy enough it's just the bend and phrasing that need attention, I was getting blisters on my fingers, I tried some string lube and some nut sauce at the saddles, nut and string tree and wow! It's much easier to do the bends! Sometimes these things aid your technique. I'm glad I tried it.

I've tried nut sauce, but I keep sliding forward off my chair  :)

It's surprising how much of a cumulative improvement can be made by smoothing off and lubricating the friction points on a guitar.  You probably wouldn't really notice much or any difference if you just lubricated the string tree and saddles, but in combination with the nut it can be very noticeable.

Are you possibly trying to play 'Helter Skelter' instead of 'While my guitar gently weeps' ?
Just a thought  :)
