2015 MacBook Air I5 256/16gb worth upgrading to Logic 11 or will it be slow /buggy

As stated above , running Monterey & 10.7.2 Logic Pro  would 11 be too much , is it still buggy
Apparently there’s a bug to do with something like ctrl R .

it is mentioned to compress the current one  & you can then uncompress it to use if the new one is buggy or unusable .  So is it like a standalone  & you’d just delete the new 11 one if it didn’t work well & uncompress the old one & it would work as it did before .

i moved my libraries to an ext SSD wonder how this affects the upgrade I’m assuming it just adds them to the library where they currently reside / are directed to  & it’s not like a new installation but just like it says an upgrade .

As a first step, the spec for LP 11 says it needs OSX Ventura 13.5 or later. So unless your MacBook is supported you’ll have to first go down the unofficial route to update MacOS.

I did that on my MacBook and installed 11. It was doable, but not simple. It’s perfectly usable, and I haven’t had any serious bugs. However it’s only a secondary machine I use for occasional recording, so it doesn’t get stretched.

Don't forget that Logic Pro 11 has features that needs a newer Apple M processor. My 2017 iMac runs OS 13.5.7 so is about as old a Mac as can run Logic Pro 11, and it runs just fine but Apple has cleverly programmed out the newer features; I just don't see them. When you and I can get newer computers we will experience the full LP11.

Hi yes the M1 is mostly for the Stem Splitter & another thing  I think it’s a fancy reverb that requires it . I’m running Monterey so am inclined to leave it as is at the moment  would be fun to try it though
