Spotify Wrapped

It was "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" by Tammy Wynette.thecolourbox said:Hope you're not too worried that she's playing the long game here to send you a message.NothingOnTheTele said:My Spotify wrapped has been screwed up because my account's connected with the Amazon Echo, which my wife uses to play music in the kitchen. So my most-played song was 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover by Paul Simon, which I've never deliberately played in my life.
I've now linked the Echo to her account instead. Here's hoping for a better Wrapped next year.
Was the second most played song "I Will Survive"?
I can't verify any of this but what I saw the other day was:
Spotify subscription £143.88. Independent artists might receive 90% of the income, artists on a label between 5 and 50%. To get Spotify to pay your favourite artist that money you would have to stream them for over 9 hours per day for a year.

That's why i buy my favourite music on cd or whatever but then listen to it on streaming, so they actually get more money from me than if I'd done only one of those.EricTheWeary said:I can't verify any of this but what I saw the other day was:

The three acts i could have seen in concert this year, would have resulted in me giving more money to privatised rail companies and Ticketmaster than to the actual artists, as nobody bothers to play in Birmingham any more.
Only just re-joined Spotify with the 4 month free offer, so no wrapped this year. I just hop between the streaming services when there's an offer going. Also go months without if no deals going. Increased my vinyl collection by A LOT this year.
30,000 minutes of The Jam, The Damned, The Clash, The Smiths and Red hot chilli peppers.
Bach, it's just his old stuff though, hasn't put out an album in ages.

I think he might be worse than The Sundays on that front.Grunfeld said:Bach, it's just his old stuff though, hasn't put out an album in ages.
It's only 27 years since their last album. Canadian metallers Sword (who contributed the No.1 song on my Spotify Wrapped) went 34 years between their second and third albums.Sporky said:I think he might be worse than The Sundays on that front.Grunfeld said:Bach, it's just his old stuff though, hasn't put out an album in ages.
My top artists were entirely predictable…. My top songs weren’t.

Mine makes sense. But then when I see it I wonder why.
