Studio monitors, Dedicated FRFR or Other stuff to make a nice home set-up

I would switch to two monitors if I wanted stereo and wanted to play at home only.
I would keep the FR12 if I wanted to gig.
It gets tricky if you want stereo and gigging; however the FOH could handle this and you'd then need some form of stage monitoring.
Ultimately I've landed on FR12 for gigging and two monitors for home use, but that's a dual rig and I get why you're not after that.

What's your pick of the monitors? tawillo said:I would switch to two monitors if I wanted stereo and wanted to play at home only.

So, if I'm reading this correctly - home use only, you have already got one T8V (which you are happy with). Are you planning to record and mix at home with this set up?
The reason I ask, I have a similar size room but I do use it for recording and mixing. I have some acoustic treatment (broad band absorbers in the front corners and at the first reflection points) and I upgraded from my Adam A5s to a pair of Neumann KH80s. There was nothing wrong with the Adams for playing guitar (I'm using a Kemper and a Helix), the additional outlay on the Neumanns is driven my the quest to get my mixes to translate onto other systems (which is a whole different rabbit hole).
If you are not trying to mix on the T8Vs, and you are happy with the sound in your room, then simply add a second one and enjoy the stereo experience.
No mixing but probably need to think about how to incorporate backing tracks playing off the Mac as its purely guitar, 2 outputs from the UA pedals into a left / right channel
Not sure of your budget but the headrush FR08 mk ii has Bluetooth and I just stream from my Mac or phone direct to the speaker and connect my Tonex to it via cables.
Independent volumes for aux in,line in and Bluetooth so easy to mix.
If it's only for your own entertainment and playback, the IK Multimedia iLoud monitors are quite nice. You'd probably need a small mixer as an interface for your amp SIM/ modeller of choice but they have Bluetooth so you can play backing tracks from your phone/ computer.
Amazon have them at £145 at the moment which is a bargain! I paid more than that for a used pair a few years ago!

I use a pair of Yamaha HS7 monitors at home.
Very happy with them. Very loud, very clear.
Been a valve amp fan for years...had the usuals small ish suspects such as Fendrer Blue Junior, Vox AC10, AC15, Marshall's, Bigger Marshall Silver jubilee and 2x12 cab biggest home rig I had to date..
Long story short I've got into the amp in a box Universal Audio stuff...has a Lion but my favourite just now is a Woodrow into a DelVerb..I have no intention of all PC, small screens and diving into a million menu's hence the appeal of the amp in a box, real nobs etc =)
I've switched away from all valve stuff as my Lion pedal and Fender FR12 sounded better clean and dirty than the Silver Jubilee to my ears..
I have no desire to create a home/gigging rig so strictly for home use. I mainly uses the Woodrow / Del-verb into a Fender Tonemaster FR12...its probably waaayyy louder than I need as this definitely could be used for a gig / practice..
Reason for the the thread is I added a Adam Audio T8V as stereo is an option out of the UA stuff..
I'm impressed! £199, 8 inch driver, etc..I'm wondering to ditch the Fender Fr12 and just use a pair of these? there is more transparency (less fog) on the Monitor which depends on the colour of your tic-tac's might be a good thing or not...
PA Speaker would be OTT in my 3.5 x 3 Meter man cave I use just for my guitar stuff...
Anyone been down this road / thoughts? Stereo is definitely an appeal for home use, I was thinking of x2 Fender FR12's but volume aside and it looks like a Fender amp...cant see a huge point...
