Oh man what a pedal! I had one of these on loan earlier this year and was gutted to have to give it back. Pastfx really do make great sounding stomp boxes. Shame they are based in Australia.

I sold my MXR 117 reissue after I got the PastFX Hot for Flanger, it just had more of everything that I like about the 117.
I also have their equally brilliant New Division (EHX Clone Theory clone), which is used by both Peter Hook and Eric Avery.

I know the 117 is the pedal that John McGeoch used (together with the chorus on his Roland JC) but I feel the ND nearly does a better job of capturing his sound than the HFF (think Israel or Arabian Nights). The thing that sets the ND apart from other chorus pedals is that the preamp on it can be overdriven resulting in this great crunchy new wave/punk chorus sound.
For those not familiar with this effect, I've added in the description,
