Grounding issue on resonator???
Have decided to send it back and find an alternative.

What make and model is it?
Are the electrics stock, or an aftermarket modification?
Does it have a piezo-type pickup on the resonator?
Does it have passive or active electrics?
It's hard to say if it's likely to be something simple or not - the noise from the neck pickup that stops when you touch the cover indicates that the strings aren't grounded (simple to fix) but the other problem is less obvious. Do you like the guitar otherwise? Was it a good price?
