Two rock burnside and what amp for tps wet dry?

So many options - I also own a Burnside and it sounds great next to every single amp I've paired it with. To your question, a Fender DR or something of that type will sit nicely alongside it. If you want something a bit more chimey, an AC15 or AC30 could work well, though the AC30 has better headroom for wet sounds. Dr. Z Maz 18 NR is also worth a look. JTM45 (one on the forum for £650) or 62RI Bluesbreaker also amazing if you want more of a Marshall sound to pair with the tweed,
Really depends on what you want from the second amp.

Are you fussed about combo or head format? I use a Fender DL type amp for my wet signal path as it pairs with modulation well. Also the scoop vs a mid focussed drive sounds good to my ears.
I prefer combos generallyjoeW said:Are you fussed about combo or head format? I use a Fender DL type amp for my wet signal path as it pairs with modulation well. Also the scoop vs a mid focussed drive sounds good to my ears.
Carr Rambler has excellent headroom for these purposes - this is what I use - tho it doesn’t have an fx loop if you prefer your modulation in the loop. Should be able to pick one up within your budget.
I think you're new on here. Have PM'd you - have a look at your messages and let me know what you think.
I am absolutely not an expert here. But having played around with wet dry and dual amps set ups, I would recommend something non fendery. Part of the joy of 2 amps is the difference between the 2 amps as well as the modulation and delays. Try something Marshall-y or vox-y. But just try something until you like it, then keep it. Until you find something else. This is part of the fun
Something in the black panel realm would work great with wet effects and complement the more middy Burnside sound. There’s a Louis Electric in the classifieds that looks great if you can stretch the budget further. Your Burnside deserves something just as good!
JC120
Louis electric deltone (deluxe reverb alike) in the classifieds that would fit the bill.
I've dabbled a bit in this, for recording rather than live. If you're going to be using the second amp just for the 'wet' signal from your modulation/reverb/delay (as opposed to having both amps overdriven and blending them for a certain sound) I'd contend that you don't necessarily need something really expensive. If you find something that's low noise with plenty of headroom that will do it really. Of course you might prefer a more expensive amp for reliability or just because it's nice, but you could probably do it well with something well under that budget.TweedyBoy said:Hi all,
first time poster. I’m looking for a second amp to pair with my 18w two rock burnside (tweed superish circuit).
The two rock will be the dry amp and just receiving my drive pedals. The other amp will be wet and receiving reverb, delay & chorus.
I have a budget of up to £1500 and I’m looking for a used amp
