Only six sleeps!
Aww, that's just cruel, tantalising you like that.
It's my own fault. we weren't going to do presents this Christmas, but she insisted on a "£50 token pressie", and in the end I caved in. What's a boy to do?Kittyfrisk said:Aww, that's just cruel, tantalising you like that.
Looks open to me
Mine is due to turn up any day soon
You need to check it works.
Under the "Faulty Goods (thefretboard GAS and bragging provision) Regulations 2024" you only have 24 hours to check it works to guarantee a return and replacement.
If your wife needs the full text of the regulations you'll have to give me 3 hours to dra... I mean, find it.

Open it, swap it with another pedal, close it up again. She’ll never know ;)

Postman has just been

You’re not allowed to open it. You’ll spoil Christmas for @ElectricXIIstonevibe said:Postman has just been
I got it to do a review for my blog, as I have a few Tone Bender style fuzz pedals I can compare it with, etcmatt_sefton said:You’re not allowed to open it. You’ll spoil Christmas for @ElectricXIIstonevibe said:Postman has just been
Ooh, will that include the Warmbender @stonevibe ?

Spoiler vision:
Make it sound really shit and only share the video with the OP so he spends the next week upset until he finally plugs it in! :D
Took some gut shots earlier
It has 6x SMD 2N3904s in it
Toggle switch connected via header pins, footswitch via connector block
9mm plastic D shaft pots
The enclosure is pretty nice and the standoffs are part of the enclosure. Would be fairly straightforward to make a mod board for this
Mod mode sounded a bit cocked-wah through my practice amp. Would probably cut through a mix
Not mad at the build quality, but no sign of the "all analog circuit powered by a pair of vintage transistors"
Markus Reeves has done a video https://youtu.be/rZMBeN-VLZ0?si=PSwg2bjtXn7c1Zl7

I think for £50 you have appreciate whatever corners are cut if if gives you the TB flavour.
Not ripped apart my Warm Bender but very happy with it tonally and while pricier than this, it's also an example of a TB made to a price.

I'm actually surprised at how much of it is actually through-hole components. Christmas Day gonna be noizy.
I did my video earlier if you want to hear some sounds. Spoiler, it’s pretty good.

I've been wanting to try a Brass Master for ages and Behringer came out with one of those too so I'm taking this positivity as a good sign. Nice to see the gut shots @roberty thanks!
This is ridiculously cheap. It looks decent quality.
Great demo @rossyamaha ! Christmas seems even further away now.rossyamaha said:I did my video earlier if you want to hear some sounds. Spoiler, it’s pretty good.https://youtu.be/s3rHN3VrqM8
I wasn't aware you had a YT channel. Liked and subscribed!

I've narrowly missed out on so many B:Assmasters, this will be probably be an insta buy
It does look super cheap, like a budget warm audio or past fx thing.
Great demo, nice onerossyamaha said:I did my video earlier if you want to hear some sounds. Spoiler, it’s pretty good.
Thanks man. Yeah had one for a while now but it just lay stagnant because I didn't have time. I also used a pseudonym so I could do it while working for different companies. Having a good go at it now. It's fun.ElectricXII said:Great demo @rossyamaha ! Christmas seems even further away now.rossyamaha said:I did my video earlier if you want to hear some sounds. The mod setting up full is where I'd have it. That sounds like it would work great in a mix with a solid fat P bass tone.
oh, and I've subbed.
When did these go up in price by £10? I paid £49 for mine, and now it seems most places are selling them for £59.
Greed. Dealer greed because they are selling out at the moment.stonevibe said:When did these go up in price by £10? I paid £49 for mine, and now it seems most places are selling them for £59.
Just had a quick play with mine. It doesn’t seem to be trying to do the authentic bender thing vs the twin bender. The standard mode way more like a mkiii or a fuzz face. Playing it next to my sun face kinda exposes that its best sound is easily bettered. But then again it shows just how good it is for £50- it’s not a bad sounding pedal at all.
It is definitely a lot of pedal for £50 or £60. Yes, it's not as "special" and responsive as a Cornell 1st Fuzz (so wish I still had one of those...) or a Twin Bender but it's a 5th the price of the Twin Bender or a 20th of the the 1st Fuzz and neither of those are being made any more.
I rather enjoy the mod setting which as others have said is quite cocked-wah ish.
