A item of this value needs pictures. Pictures not only help to attract potential buyers, but demonstrates that you actually have the item, and haven’t borrowed a picture from the internet. You can host pictures externally: http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/54241/posting-pics-vids-soundclips-how-to. Alternatively you can become a subscriber, and we will host images for you https://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/226662/new-subscriptions-get-image-uploads-and-no-ads
Hi Roland, thanks for your very public (defamatory?) advice. I'm sorry if my post doesn't give you the confidence that I 'actually have the item'.
I'm sure, as a moderator, you can track my previous posts, sales, and general interactions on the forum.
Perhaps you should have sent your message privately, rather than cast aspersions on my trustworthiness in such a public manner.

I don't know you here by name or reputation, but from looking at your profile you would appear to be in a similar situation to another esteemed member here https://thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/276076/leaving-the-forum/p1dangee said:Hi Roland, thanks for your public advice. Apologies if I have misread your position, but if it sells like a duck, bumps like a duck... B)
I am always wary of buying items that are advertised online and a 'for sale' listing that doesn't include photos would be a red flag to me. I find it odd that a seller can't be bothered to add photos or is it a case they don't want them to be generally available to view.
Thanks for your input chaps.
My perspective is pretty simple.
I've bought and sold some high end stuff on here- including the guitar I'm selling here.
<br>I have posted a very tentative trade thread for a guitar I'd rather actually keep, but may need to sell due to surgery.
Within two hours of posting, a moderator has publicly suggested I may not be acting properly.
As stated, the moderator can check all of my history, and (IMHO) should have made his (valid) point privately, rather than cast aspersions on my character.

without wishing to get dragged into the rights and wrongs here (though enjoying the drama, I need to hang around the classifieds more often) sales are hard enough without making it harder. A pic gets a lot more interest than a thousand words (not actually been verified if this is true nor the number of words is may be better than).
A link to the pics has already been added by Bruce...thanks for bumping though, much appreciated...
@dangee
You broke the forum's classifieds rules by not including pics with your ad.
Rather than bashing you as a rule-breaker, the (volunteer) mod explained to you why it's good to have pics.
This is especially poignant given people have been scammed on here recently. I, for one, appreciate his efforts to look after us.
Your touchy responses were uncalled for and a breach of forum rule one IMHO.
This place works great when we respect the rules and the mods, who provide us with a great FREE service.

Thanks for your comments on my thread, where the issue to which you are referring has already been resolved through the helpful input of Bruce.
I simply suggested that a PM would have been more appropriate than publicly suggesting I may be a scammer, based upon a review of my site activity.
