Jon Camp Renaissance RIP
Just found out that Jon Camp, bass player, guitarist, song writer and occasional lead vocalist with UK Progressive Rock group Renaissance died 13th December age 75. One of my bass playing hero's and was posting on FB until very recently. How sad.

Well that's sad news to hear.
I met him once in late 1971 (possibly early 1972) - I auditioned for the band when they were trying to regroup under Miles Copeland's management, after the Relfs and the other founder members had gone.
We went through some of the stuff he and John Tout were writing. Sadly I didn't get the gig, as they thought my playing wasn't bluesy enough for what they were after...
