Interestingly the "relative lull in Vietnam" didn't really last and America was still in there for another 4 1/2 years.
I would love to see what the section off to the right says. The words that are visible and truncated are intriguing.
The old format phone numbers and the listing of the newspaper's Telex number is so indicative of the era. It's like a small window to the past.
I was clearing out a hut at my Mother's house recently. It used to sit in my Grandfather's garden long after he had died and my Grandmother became fairly housebound. My Grandfather had grown a lot of vegetables in that garden right through the war. My Father disassembled the hut and reassembled it in his own garden, and brought most of the old tools that were kept in it. Most of them were just left as they had been for the remaining 35 years or so. Inside a green WWII ammunition box there was a metal tray he had used to store very old spanners, and the bottom of it was lined with a couple of pages from the local paper dated 1947.
Don’t want to be That Guy, but it says 1968. Nice find though. Wonder how it ended up in there?

I had insider knowledge. I'm looking at my 64 starfire ii right now. You enjoying it? I love love mine, but I need to get the Bridge pickup seem to as its too microphonic.

I inherited a "The Gibson" uke many years ago, and with it came the middle pages of a News of the World from 1911 with lyrics and ukelele chords for the song "The Spaniard That Blighted My Life".

It's missing parts but pickups are there and quite nice :)
