Hudson Sidecar

One of the best pedals out there in my opinion… both my boards have one on there. I run both of mine quite high gain for a thick solo tone. While it is TS based it is very different to a TS in reality. Have you seen the demo on That Pedal Show?
Thanks @Majorscale
I haven't seen that demo no, will have a search now. Cheers

Use mine through a Columbia reverb and fender bandmaster reverb and it’s great. I’m mainly playing a tele and have it on an edge of break up sound, but works equally well with buckers. The eq is pretty powerful too so no fear of losing the low end like many other TS types.
Works well as a solo boost too!

I was using it on my main board but I bumped it for a Kingsley Minstrel.
Out of all my amps it sounds best with a Louis Electric Road Runner (Princeton style).

Brilliant! Thanks @bandmaster188
What do you run your bandmaster through out of interest?

The YouTube clip you posted sold it for me when I was looking into the sidecar. A pretty accurate demo.
That's excellent news! The BMR through 4x10s should be very similar to my super reverb. If it sounds anywhere near like that video I'd be more than happy! Cheersbandmaster188 said:A home made pine 4x10 with p10r’s.strat84 said:Brilliant! Thanks @bandmaster188

I think the Sidecar is Hudson's best pedal. It has a great gain range from almost a boost all the way up to almost a fuzz.
The EQ is well chosen and very powerful. Mine works very well with my 80s Fender Super Champ and my Bad Cat Cub 2R.
I also have the Hudson Motorcycle. My amps are usually set to a very slight breakup, the Sidecar is set low gain with the treble and bass boosted for adding some light crunch. The Motorcycle is thicker sounding with more bass and less treble so that's set with a touch more gain and I occasionally boost it with the Sidecar too.

Hudson do make great pedals…..I’ve got the Hudson 999 which was limited to about 30 pedals.
Thanks a lot everyone! I think I'm gonna go for one of these in the new year. Cheers :)
If different finishes are your thing then Joe’s Pedals are doing red ones and regent sounds are doing yellow ones right now….
I play humbuckers mainly and use the Duellist to give a thicker clean tone with the gain set low, sometimes I'll push it up to around half way which is plenty gain for what I play. I quite liked this demo with a Strat through a Princeton -
