My first wife’s birthday was Christmas Day and, I suppose quite fairly, she insisted on having separate birthday and Christmas cards and presents. “Everyone else gets two lots of presents a year, so why shouldn’t I?”  Used to cost me a small fortune. She never had to work on her birthday either.

My birthday is only a few days after Christmas. I often get people feeling a bit sorry for me but it’s something that’s never bothered me as I’ve never known any different.

I'd have an Official Birthday halfway around the year if mine was at Christmas.

It's not random though. There are more conceptions in autumn/winter, therefore more births in summer.

My mum's birthday was Christmas eve, She would always say "I want two presents!"
