They each ate their own weight in chestnuts in a single sitting.

apples. Newton famously got hit on the head by one and invented gravity (though gravity has since been disproved). Shane wrote Fairytale of New York, otherwise known as the big apple. And Annie Lennox is actually a variety of apple, known for making excellent cider and pies.

And why does that Jesus have a totally different pronunciation to the Jesus who now plays for Arsenal - Looks very similar spelling to me - Both were renowned for having a good cross on them

I reckon it's just commentators trying to avoid being 'disrespectful' - the tried to call him Hey Zeus to begin with, probably until someone informed them he wasn't a spanish speaker.

He's done his usual December big entrance - he's good until Easter now.

My first wife’s birthday was Christmas Day and, I suppose quite fairly, she insisted on having separate birthday and Christmas cards and presents. “Everyone else gets two lots of presents a year, so why shouldn’t I?”  Used to cost me a small fortune. She never had to work on her birthday either.

My birthday is only a few days after Christmas. I often get people feeling a bit sorry for me but it’s something that’s never bothered me as I’ve never known any different.

I'd have an Official Birthday halfway around the year if mine was at Christmas.

It's not random though. There are more conceptions in autumn/winter, therefore more births in summer.
