Nearly New UAFX...
Looking around to see if any bargains in the Christmas sales...
Guitarguitar Clearance section has 56 UAFX pedals listed as "nearly new". They can't be pedals that have been demo'd as the don't have that number of shops.
Are they returned pedals? Not listed as Second Hand. Are they just trying to clear stock?
Most of these pedals are chuffing expensive (for me anyway), but I did pick up a Flow Vintage Tremolo at a great price a couple of months ago.

Might be considered factory blems too - stuff put aside by UA at the factory and now bring cleared out at a discount. I bought a Dream 65 earlier in the year from that list and it was pretty spotless though.
It’s probably new stock listed as “nearly new” so they don’t get in trouble with UA for flogging it at a discount

I wondered if they were pedals that people had returned after buying online, but there loads of them.
Lovely sounding pedals, out of the three I owned 2 developed problems and I returned them.
The site says manufacturer demo units.
I wonder if GG just bought a load at once from various displays and so on.

Right, I see that now.fretmeister said:The site says manufacturer demo units.

I never clicked on the description.
That maybe explains why they post the SN of the pedals.
I know the sample size is too small to draw conclusions but that is quite the failure rate.mgaw said:Lovely sounding pedals, out of the three I owned 2 developed problems and I returned them.
How do you find the Flow? More than I'd normally spend on a pedal, but I'm tempted to treat myself to a nearly new one given they're such a tempting price...Ddigger said:Looking around to see if any bargains in the Christmas sales... I had assumed customer returns. What else do the places do who offer free returns after trying?
The problem with these pedals is the Bluetooth connection and app is very flakey. I’ve had a few starlight delays and a del verb. The Bluetooth connection constantly drops out. Plus I couldn’t for the life of me update the firmware on the del verb I had. I tried everything and it just wouldn’t work. It would begin the update and just get stuck halfway through. It’s a shame as they sound amazing.
A similar thing happened to me with a H9 update a few years ago. Luckily, the H9 has a USB connection and I was able to hook it up to my computer and update using the app there.kennedydream1980 said:The problem with these pedals is the Bluetooth connection and app is very flakey. It’s a mystery why UA decided to forego a similar wired connection for their pedals.
This thread has put me off buying a Del-Verb. I had bought one in the classifieds a few days ago but the seller changed his mind and refunded my money. I was going to order a new one but I’ve got second thoughts now :-(
In contrast, the Del-Verb I had was flawless in operation - I loved the app too. I did however later switch it out for a UAFX Heavenly and an Orion set, so that I had more instantaneuous control over both ‘sides’ at once while both of those were on offer too. I would happily have more UAFX pedals.matt_sefton said:This thread has put me off buying a Del-Verb. Just for the sake of balance, I have two UA amp pedals (the tweed and the Deluxe) and have had zero issues. Connections to my iPhone have been easy and robust. Updates have run fine. They sound great too!
I think the Del-Verb has been a brilliant purchase for me. To the point where I have thought about having a second one in the board.
Have loved the Del-Verb and Heavenly I bought this year. Both great for reverb, delay modes nice to have on D-V too. Have not bothered to try the app or updating firmware as Del-Verb pretty amazing as it is. Maybe I am missing out on cool features by ignoring apps and connections, who knows!
