Epiphone 1979 Les Paul - anyone got one?
Comments
There never was any €piphone Les Paul made in 1979
You mean the Adam Jones 1979 sig? It should be the same as any other modern Epi LP with 2x HBs if so
Its a model, Adam Jones 1979.Pete.R said:There never was any €piphone Les Paul made in 1979
I'm not so certain, I will measure when it arrives but wanted to order in advance if I can. But if it is, anyone got one of them to measure? Haha.guitargeek62 said:You mean the Adam Jones 1979 sig? It should be the same as any other modern Epi LP with 2x HBs if so
I had the Veil of Bees model at launch, nothing about it seemed out of the ordinary or gave me reason to think a ‘standard’ one wouldn’t fit.fosk said:I'm not so certain, I will measure when it arrives but wanted to order in advance if I can. They’re nice enough guitars, but otherwise just a normal Epiphone LPC with a maple neck, different paintjob and bridge SH-6 at the end of the day - it’s not like they’ve changed the pickup spacing on the model.
You'd think Gibson would fit as well, but they don't do they? I assume the pickup surrounds are what changes. Are Epiphones wider? I have 2 Gibson Custom Shop LPCs, one which I took the unused pickguard from and put on a normal LP no issue apart from support bar strangely (as wanted to use the original chrome).guitargeek62 said:I had the Veil of Bees model at launch, nothing about it seemed out of the ordinary or gave me reason to think a ‘standard’ one wouldn’t fit.fosk said:I'm not so certain, I will measure when it arrives but wanted to order in advance if I can. Yep, the pickup rings themselves are different dimensions
Usually it's the width of the neck pickup mount, the gap, and then width of bridge pickup.
