Gibson ES335S
Talking about guitars and amps with an old friend the other night and he got his old Marshall JMP 2x12 50w combo off of my old guitarist. I said I really loved the sound my guitarist used to get from that amp, no pedals just an ES335S straight in.
Hell of a thick sound. Yet I’ve never seen the guitar or another one since. Anybody else have one. From what I remember they had Dirty Fingers HB’s in it and fat necks.

I personally don't like the Dirty Fingers. I had a late 70s/early 80s one in the neck of my Japanese Riviera when I bought it and took it out.
Tom DeLonge had them in his 335s.
Took it out, put it on Facebook and it sold pretty much immediately.
They were super high output, I think around 16k if I recall correctly? That might explain the thickness.

You don't see many of the 335S. The coolest version was the silverburst.
That ties in with your Martyn Boothe vibe
Yeah, they're very similar!
Many moons ago Garry Cooper of Music UK magazine never failed to tell us how good his 335S was. I could never find one in a shop to see if he was right or not.
