Total cost: £187. I'm pretty sure I got the shittiest deal! Her flights back home to Poland cost less than my few hours on the road lol.

£15 parking.
£5 bridge/tunnel tolls.
£12 for a coffee each there.
£20 fuel.
£135 replacement insurance excess for another cracked windscreen courtesy of the m25.

+ a days wasted holiday out of my annual leave next month to take it to the garage..

Honestly lol.. been driving 17 years and never had so much as a chip, and in the space of 12 months I've had two irreparable windscreen cracks, during lowest mileage years I've ever done.. nuts.

Much cheaper for you to visit her in Poland. It's nicer there too :) .

I had to drop my son off at Stansted and pick him up six months later. The company he was working for bought the tickets to Dublin although it would have been more convenient and cheaper to stick him on a £5 flight from Birmingham. I think I managed to avoid paying for parking both times. When I went to pick him up I thought if I was early I could park up and get a coffee at the nearby motorway services. The impression I got was that the services are an informal extension of Stansted parking and you've got to know who to sleep with to get a space. Still, circling to try to find a parking space passed the time. Managed not to crack a windscreen although a 270 mile round trip in a SEAT Mii probably cracked a few vertebrae.

Would have been cheaper & more fun to simply drive her to sexual ecstasy?
