Well it was very nice anyway! David, Capn, Rat, Paul and Monty. Awesome band. Such panache and groove!
I was at the Wolverhampton gig with my gig buddy.
I’ve seen them near enough 100 times now.
The price of the merchandise has doubled since Rat returned. This was the first Damned gig where I didn’t buy any merch.
They’re good, but the tightest lineup was when Pinch was on drums. They always sparkled back then. Now old sparing partners with deep scars are trying to work out how to get along, and it shows. The magic isn’t there yet.
Yep, agreed, with Pinch it was a v good lineup.
But they played damned well tonight, lots of hilarity on stage and Rat was a hoot! And Dave’s singing is sublime at the moment.
I've never seen The Damned, so would have been quite interested to catch this. Just seen opening was The Fleshtones, so that's another reason to have caught the show.
